Keep your eyes safe during the eclipse

Please keep your eyes safe while Denton experiences the max view of the eclipse next Monday, August 21st at 1:08 pm. Eclipse glasses are the best option if you’re tempted to look, but keep them on at all times and please ensure that any kids around you do the same. Texas is NOT in the path of totality, so it will not be safe to look without solar filters at any time. Serious and permanent damage to your eyes can still occur when looking through home made filters, normal sunglasses, binoculars, telescopes and cameras. We will be watching closely on TV and online and hope you’ll do the same!
